PURPOSE AND MISSION

The purpose of Bible School is to provide young people who are serious about their relationship with God an opportunity for biblical learning, spiritual challenge, personal growth, and meaningful Christian fellowship.

We recognize that students will come from different backgrounds and will be at different places in their walk with God. We do not expect every student to have the same experience or level of spiritual maturity. We do, however, expect each student to come with a sincere desire to seek God, a willingness to learn and grow, and a readiness to respect the standards and expectations of Bible School.

Throughout the week, students will be encouraged to grow through Bible teaching, prayer, fasting, personal meditation and reflection, inspirational singing, small-group prayer and sharing, and Christian fellowship. Our desire is to provide an atmosphere where students can draw closer to God, build meaningful relationships with others, and be challenged to live out their faith in everyday life.

We ask each student to come prepared to participate wholeheartedly and to contribute positively to the spiritual and social atmosphere of Bible School.

APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE

Each application will be prayerfully evaluated by the Bible School administration. Applicants will be notified whether they have been accepted. If an application is not accepted, an explanation will be provided.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Registration will begin at 8:00 AM Monday morning.

Each day will include a full schedule of Bible teaching, prayer, sharing, singing, personal reflection, and group activities. Students should come prepared to participate fully in the scheduled activities.

Spiritual revival services will be held each evening except Wednesday and Saturday.

Wednesday evening will be an organized activity evening with supervised group activities such as volleyball and Spikeball. Students are encouraged to participate as they are able or to support and fellowship with the group from the sidelines. The purpose of the evening is physical activity, wholesome fellowship, and healthy social interaction.

Sunday evening will be a final program featuring the student chorus.

Students will be appropriately supervised throughout the school day and evening activities.

Lodging with local host families will be provided for students who need accommodations.

STUDENT GUIDELINES

In order to encourage an atmosphere that supports spiritual growth, learning, fellowship, and freedom from unnecessary distractions, we ask every student to willingly respect the following guidelines throughout the week.

1. Attendance and Leaving the Premises

Students are expected to attend and participate in all scheduled sessions and activities.

Students may not leave the Bible School premises without permission from a principal, except when leaving for their host family or other approved lodging at the end of the day.

2. Dress and Appearance

We ask all students to dress modestly and appropriately throughout the week. Clothing should be loose-fitting and should modestly conceal the form of the body. Our desire is for dress and appearance to reflect simplicity, modesty, and respect for the purpose and atmosphere of Bible School.

Young Ladies:
Please wear a dress or skirt without slits, along with a loose-fitting second layer such as a jumper, cape dress, vest, or something similar. We also ask young ladies to wear their hair up and to wear a head covering unless an exception has been approved.

Young Men:
Please do not wear T-shirts, blue jeans, or other comparably casual clothing during Bible School.

3. Cell Phones and Electronic Communication

We desire Bible School to be a week in which students can give their attention to God, the teaching, and the people around them with as few distractions as possible.

Students are therefore asked to turn off their cell phones upon arrival each morning and leave them off until departing for their place of residence in the evening.

If a call or message is necessary during school hours, please obtain permission from a principal or matron. This expectation includes texting, social media, and other personal phone use. Emergency use is always permitted with the knowledge of the administration.

4. Outside Activities

We encourage students to make Bible School the priority for the week and to avoid outside activities or commitments that would distract from its purpose or interfere with full participation.

5. Conduct and Cooperation

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Christian purpose of Bible School and to demonstrate respect toward fellow students, staff, host families, and those in authority.

Students are expected to willingly receive instruction and correction from the administrators, principals, and matrons and to cooperate with their direction throughout the week.
